Thoothukudi MP Kanimozhi and former ministers K.K.K.S.R. Ramachandran and Thangam Thennarasu visited on Monday Vilaththikulam MLA G.V. Markandayan in Palayamkottai Central Prison, where he had been lodged for his alleged derogatory remarks and threats against Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.While addressing a public meeting held in Kovilpatti recently, Mr. Markandayan of DMK allegedly threatened the Chief Minister and uttered derogatory remarks against him. Subsequently, he was arrested and remanded in judicial custody in Palayamkottai Central Jail.After visiting the party MLA on July 21, Ms. Kanimozhi came to the prison on Monday again along with the former ministers, even as the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court granted bail to Mr. Markandayan.Palayamkottai MLA M.
