On the morning of August 3, Russian forces attacked a civilian tugboat with a Shahed-type drone, causing a fire to break out on board.
According to Ukrinform, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine stated this on its website.
The attack targeted civilian shipping in violation of international humanitarian law and the laws and customs of war.
Following the strike, a fire erupted aboard the vessel. Marine Guard personnel from the State Border Guard Service were the first to arrive and assist the crew.
Marine Guard ships and boats, followed by units of the State Emergency Service (SES), took part in extinguishing the fire.
