Vinicius Junior might have reported back to Real Madrid for pre-season training, but he is still the subject of growing speculation over a transfer to Arsenal13:50, 03 Aug 2026Vinicius Jr continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal - and now the president of the agency that represents him has confirmed he is going to be in London. The Gunners have launched a stunning move to sign the Real Madrid star, as Mikel Arteta looks to add some quality to his title-winning squad.‌Vinicius, who reported back to Real on Monday for pre-season training, has scored 128 goals in 375 appearances for the La Liga giants, who are keen to keep hold of him this summer. So much so that they have been trying to renew his deal for a number of months now.‌The Brazilian's deal expires next summer, and Real opened further talks with him last week in a bid to reach an agreement. But with nothing forthcoming, the La Liga giants have informed the 26-year-old’s camp that the latest contract offer they submitted is final and there will be no further increase or another round of negotiations.‌If Vinicius accepts, his deal will be renewed; however, if he rejects the offer, Madrid will open the door to a sale this summer to prevent the Brazilian from entering his final year of contract and leaving for free later, according to Spanish publication Marca. But now, in an interesting development, the president of Roc Nation Sports confirmed on Monday morning that he is travelling to London. Michael R. Yormark took to Instagram to post an update saying: “London, here I come. Let’s go!”FOLLOW OUR ARSENAL FB PAGE! Latest Gunners news and more on our dedicated Facebook page‌Amid the speculation around the attacker’s Real future, Roc Nation took the unusual step on Sunday by hitting out at 'fake and damaging' reports in a statement shared by Yormark on Instagram. It's not clear whether Roc Nation were speaking about Vinicius and the ongoing rumours surrounding a Real Madrid exit and a move to Arsenal or something else. But the statement said: "Roc Nation Sports International and our entire team cannot stand idle when unprofessional and uninformed media publish fake and damaging information for attention-seeking purposes.‌"This is especially unacceptable when it personally targets our clients without any foundation. It is disruptive, harmful and libellous. Media outlets and journalists need to hold themselves more accountable."The Gunners have already bolstered their attacking options this summer with the £34million signing of Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge earlier this month. And as well as Vinicius, they're also working on a deal to sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United, but have seen their opening offer rejected.‌And speaking over the weekend, Gunners boss Arteta admitted: "A lot is happening. We all know about the context of this transfer window."From ownership to the board, the sporting director and myself, we know that we want to take this club to a different level. That is going to require a better squad, better individuals."We have identified where we have opportunities to grow and to improve and to evolve our game and what is going to be needed to achieve that. Hopefully, very soon we can start to put things in a very concrete way."Article continues belowJoin our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
