Dangote Industries Limited and Sinoma International Engineering Company Limited have recently entered into an $800 million agreement to expand the Dangote Cement Plant in Itori, Ogun State.
This Dangote contract will effectively double the Dangote Cement plant's annual production capability from 6 million to 12 million metric tonnes.
The agreement was formally executed by Aliko Dangote, the president and chief executive of Dangote Group, alongside Lin Zhong, the chairman of Sinoma.
This expansion initiative enables Dangote Cement to satisfy escalating local demand while enhancing its ability to export to foreign markets.
Furthermore, the project supports the federal government's policy prioritizing concrete construction for national road infrastructure.
