At an age when many students are just beginning university, Nathan Thomas had already stepped into the classroom as a college professor.

The Florida native earned a place in the Guinness World Records after becoming the world's youngest male professor at just 18 years and 346 days old, breaking a record that had stood for 306 years.

Thomas joined Miami Dade College as an engineering instructor, where he teaches students who are often close to his own age.
