Latvia will receive Ukrainian soldiers wounded in Russia’s war against Ukraine twice a month from now on.
According to Ukrinform, Delfi stated this in an article.
In addition to the previously scheduled patient transfer flights, a separate flight will be organized for patients who, after medical assessment at the Riga East Clinical University Hospital (RAKUS), will be referred to specialized rehabilitation centers for further treatment.
RAKUS representative Ilga Namniece said the decision to expand the patient reception program was based on the experience gained by Latvian medical and rehabilitation institutions in treating and rehabilitating people injured in the war in Ukraine.
