SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci accused Republicans on Sunday of intentionally holding up the CLARITY Act in the Senate to scapegoat Democrats and later cash in on political donations.
Scaramucci Hits Out at Republicans In an X post, Scaramucci urged that the cryptocurrency legislation be brought to the floor to see "who actually is supporting it and who doesn’t." "So it now feels like the Republicans don’t want the Clarity Act to pass so that they can blame the Democrats for not passing it and then seek donations from the crypto industry in the Fall," the Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) bull alleged.
Scaramucci called on the cryptocurrency industry to withhold any funding unless the Republicans put the bill up for a vote.
The former White House Communications Director expressed frustration with what he viewed as a partisan battle— Democrats are unwilling to grant President Donald Trump a victory, and Republicans are stalling the legislation to get funds from the cryptocurrency industry before the midterms.
