Technically, analysts say the Nifty has further strengthened its bullish structure by surpassing the crucial hurdle of the 200-day EMA around the 24,370 mark. The index now appears well-positioned to inch towards the 24,600 level, which coincides with the previous swing high, and a decisive breakout above this zone could open the door for a move towards the 24,800-25,000 mark.In today's trade, shares of Maruti Suzuki, ITC, ZEE, Persistent Systems, Muthoot Finance among others will be in focus due to various news developments and first quarter results.ITCFMCG major ITC recorded a standalone net profit of Rs 3,579 crore for the April-June quarter of FY27, marking a 27% year-on-year drop from Rs 4,911 crore reported in the year-ago period. Revenue from operations in the reporting period increased 36% YoY to Rs 52,456 crore.Sun PharmaPharma major Sun Pharma reported 27% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its net profit of Rs 2,895 crore in the first quarter, compared with a profit of Rs 2,279 crore in the last year quarter. Revenue from operations in the reporting period increased 10% YoY to Rs 15,300 crore.PNBWith its capital adequacy ratio exceeding 18%, Punjab National Bank has no immediate plans to monetise its subsidiaries, the bank's Managing Director and CEO Ashok Chandra said, adding that the lender will instead focus on strengthening their operations to unlock greater value in the future.EmamiFMCG major Emami expects its strategic investments and new-age businesses to contribute about a quarter of its consolidated turnover by FY30 as it accelerates its push into digital-first, premium and personalised consumer brands, Vice Chairman and Managing Director Harsha V.
