(ABC News)Veteran Sydney broadcaster Alan Jones has arrived at court for the first day of his indecent assault and sexual touching trial.After a series of pre-trial hearings where some charges were either dropped or reduced, Mr Jones now faces 22 charges relating to six male complainants — 20 counts of assault with act of indecency, and two counts of sexual touching.The incidents are alleged to have happened between 2003 and 2020, at Mr Jones's apartment inside 'The Toaster' on Macquarie Street, at a public event, or at his now-former property at Fitzroy Falls in the Southern Highlands.Mr Jones is pleading not guilty to all charges. (ABC News: Ethan Rix)The 85-year-old has pleaded not guilty to the charges and denies all wrongdoing.He was met at his car on Monday by his lawyer Bryan Wrench, and the media, and did not respond to questions outside court before heading inside.The court room only fits about 25 members of the media, with lawyers and child protection squad officers in the remaining seats.The case is also being streamed via audio-visual link, but will cut out when complainants are giving evidence.A media scrum awaited Mr Jones when he arrived at court. (ABC News)Expected to last several weeks, the judge-only trial at Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court will hear from more than 70 witnesses.Judge Glenn Walsh is presiding over the case.From the time of his very public arrest at his Circular Quay apartment in November 2024, the case has garnered extensive media and public interest.Police officers at the time seized a number of electronic devices from his home, with the former shock jock later taken to Day Street Police Station in the back of an unmarked police car.
