A hazardous chemical leaked from damaged containers at a critical infrastructure facility in Poltava region following a Russian strike, and rescuers eliminated the threat.
According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES) said this in a Facebook post.
"Following a Russian strike, a hazardous chemical leaked from damaged containers at a critical infrastructure facility," the statement said.
Despite the difficult and dangerous conditions, specialists from the radiation, chemical and biological protection unit of the special-purpose emergency rescue team carried out a series of measures to seal the damaged containers and the leak sites.
