The Uttar Pradesh NCC Directorate emerged as the overall champion of the Inter Directorate Sports Shooting Competition (IDSSC) 2026, which concluded in Tiruchi on Sunday.A total of 340 NCC cadets from 17 NCC directorates across India competed in various rifle and pistol shooting events, organised under the aegis of the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Andaman and Nicobar NCC Directorate.The Maharashtra Directorate finished as the first runner-up while the Karnataka and Goa Directorate secured the second runner-up position.The Deputy Director-General of NCC Directorate of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Andaman and Nicobar, Commodore Sudeep Nambiath, presented the trophies and medals to the winners.The annual competition began on July 22 and was hosted at K.
