Iran has denied claims that it asked the United States to halt planned military strikes, calling the allegation "nothing but a new lie." The statement came after U.S. President Donald Trump claimed Tehran had requested a pause in attacks. Iran also said its armed forces remain on high alert and warned that the Strait of Hormuz will stay closed as long as the U.S. continues what it described as hostile actions.
