MILAN – Poltrona Frau’s chief executive officer, Nicola Coropulis, has stepped down.

On Sunday, Coropulis told WWD he will stay on as a strategic advisor to the design company founded in Turin, Italy, in 1912 by Renzo Frau, and take the same role for furniture brand Ceccotti.

Both brands are owned by Haworth Lifestyle, which is also home to historic Italian design brands Cassina, Zanotta and Cappellini. Poltrona Frau’s parent is part of Holland, Mich.-based Haworth Group, which also owns Janus et Cie, Luminaire, LuxuryLivingGroup and Tuohy.

In an Instagram post late Saturday, Coropulis said he’s embarking on a new chapter, to embrace “a new balance between my professional and personal life.” He added that the new role will allow him to contribute to the future growth and development of Poltrona Frau and Ceccotti.
