Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay has agreed to postpone his visit to Bengaluru to discuss the Cauvery issue on the request of the Karnataka government.Also read | Cauvery water row: Karnataka CM D.K. Shivakumar said: “Mr. Vijay had intended to hold talks, but the meeting was deferred and decided to hold discussions after the situation in Cauvery improved. Improvement in rainfall has brought some relief with indications of overall situation getting better.”When asked if Mr. Vijay would agree to Karnataka’s stand, he said: “We will make him understand and [I hope] he will understand. Though he is new to politics, he is courageous. Whatever our political differences may be, he wanted to come to Karnataka. I requested him that we meet later when a better and more cordial atmosphere prevails. I do not want anyone shouting against my friends. We should respect each other.
