A 56-year-old man in Singapore is scheduled to be charged with committing a rash act after smashing a bedroom window of a Woodlands flat on July 28, 2026 with a marble fired from a catapult. — Unsplash pic By Malay Mail First Published: Sunday, 02 Aug 2026 10:36 AM MYT SINGAPORE, Aug 2 — A 56-year-old man will be charged after a marble he allegedly fired from a catapult at a flock of birds struck and damaged a bedroom window at a Woodlands flat last Friday.Police were alerted to the damaged window at a residential unit in Block 646 Woodlands Ring Road on July 28, The Straits Times reported today.“The damage was believed to be caused by an impact from a projectile,” the police said in a statement.Officers from the Woodlands Police Division identified the suspect through ground enquiries and arrested him yesterday.Investigations found that the man had allegedly used a catapult to shoot marbles at birds in the area when one of the projectiles hit the window.Police seized a catapult and an assortment of marbles and pebbles during the investigation.The man is scheduled to be charged in court tomorrow with committing a rash act.
