The Queen of Apomu Kingdom, Olori Janet Afolabi, has distributed food items to vulnerable women, children and other residents in the community through her Food Bank initiative.
This was disclosed in a statement made available to PUNCH Online on Saturday.
Speaking during the outreach, Olori Afolabi said the programme was organised to provide essential food items to households facing economic hardship, adding that the initiative was driven by her commitment to ensuring that no family in Apomu goes hungry.
“No child should go to bed hungry. No child should remain awake because hunger has made him or her unable to sleep,” she said.
