On the night of Saturday, August 2, a group of drones struck a number of targets on Russian territory, including an oil refinery in Saratov and the Wildberries logistics complex in the Samara Region.

On the night of August 2, residents of Saratov and the surrounding region reported explosions and a fire. The governor wrote that there were preliminary reports of casualties.
According to ASTRA’s analysis of footage from eyewitnesses, the oil refinery in Saratov was attacked and is on fire.
Rosneft’s Saratov oil refinery is one of Russia’s oldest oil refining facilities. As of 2023, its oil refining capacity stood at 4.8 million metric tons.
