McDonald's Korea's "Taste of Korea" menu has been introduced in Taiwan amid the growing global popularity of Korean food and culture, industry sources said Sunday.

McDonald's Taiwan launched two new menu items — the Korea garlic beef burger and the Korea garlic chicken burger — on Wednesday, according to the sources.

The burgers are based on the recipe for McDonald's Korea's Changnyeong garlic burger, the first product developed under the Taste of Korea project.

Launched in 2021, the project has introduced six localized burgers in Korea as part of the U.S. fast-food chain's efforts to strengthen its presence in Asia's fourth-largest economy.
