Camera upgrade for iPhone
The main camera on the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to get an upgrade: variable aperture support. While it echoes previous rumors, the said feature could drive the prices up. It was reported that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will feature a Sony IMX905 sensor in its main camera. The feature is “backed by a calibration block that reads actuator data tied to the aperture mechanism from the sensor's non-volatile memory.”
