Wisconsin football is just over a month away. As the Badgers prepare for one of the most critical seasons in the history of the program, a pivotal year that will either result in marginal steps towards returning to respectability or head coach Luke Fickell and company getting ran out of town, Wisconsin has released its fall camp schedule. In previous seasons under Fickell, the Badgers began their fall camp slate on the UW-Platteville campus before returning to Madison to wrap things up. Ahead of the 2026 campaign, all 15 practices will take place in Madison. Wisconsin will host a local media day on Aug. 5 before kicking off practices on the 6th. Essentially, Wisconsin will practice for four straight days followed by an off day through the duration of fall camp. This is a different format than what Wisconsin goes with in the spring, when practice occurs three times per week with no back-to-backs. The above schedule is tentative, according to a Wisconsin spokesperson, but this should be the general format for the fall. Fickell has kept his practices open to the media for the duration of his tenure in Madison, although as per usual, live reporting from practice and reporting on injuries are strictly forbidden until Wisconsin's communication staff says otherwise. The Badgers have a week in between the final practice of the fall on Sunday, Aug. 23, (which will be a scrimmage), and the first Monday of Week 1 on Aug. 31. Camp should bring no shortage of intrigue, as position battles heat up and players are faced with their last chance to make an impression on the coaching staff and improve their position on the depth chart before the live bullets start flying in-season.
