MANILA, Philippines — The Trabaho party-list on Saturday urged the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) and concerned agencies to “firmly defend” and uphold the validity of the P85 minimum wage increase in Metro Manila after a Pasig Court issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) on its implementation.
“We call on the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC), and the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB-NCR) to firmly defend and establish the legal and economic validity of Wage Order No. NCR-27 in court,” Trabaho Party-list Rep. Atty. Johanne Bautista stated in a statement.

The Pasig City Regional Court Branch 152 last Thursday, July 30, issued a TRO on the P85 wage increase, or the Wage Order NCR-27, following a petition filed by two construction companies.
