Ukrainian forces struck a naval drone storage facility, two railway bridges, and a Black Sea Fleet electronic intelligence unit in the Crimean peninsula on Aug. 1, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported. In Crimea, operations hit a depot near Chornomorske utilized for the storage, preparation, and maintenance of unmanned surface vessels deployed in the Black Sea. Ukrainian forces also struck the Syvash railway bridge near Chonhar, which connects Crimea to the Kherson region, and a railway bridge near Vladyslavivka. The General Staff noted that both bridges serve as vital logistical routes for transporting personnel, weaponry, and supplies between the peninsula and southern Ukraine. Additional strikes in Crimea hit a Black Sea Fleet electronic intelligence unit in Sevastopol and a repair and recovery base near Pervomaiske. Beyond the peninsula, the military reported striking a logistics and supply depot near Podove in the Kherson region and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) storage facility near Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Aug. 1 operations follow a recent series of strikes targeting Russian infrastructure in the region. On July 26, Ukrainian forces struck a Chornomornaftogaz facility near Vnukove, which Russian authorities utilize to store and transport fuel for military operations, and a ground relay station near Chornomorske used to control Geran and Gerbera attack drones.
