(NYSE:PLTR) CEO Alex Karp defended Anthropic chief Dario Amodei during a company all-hands meeting, even while continuing to criticize rival AI labs.
"I've spent a lot of time with Dario," Karp said in the company's all-hands meeting that aired Friday, adding Amodei is "not the caricature that many people, most Americans, believe." Praise Comes Amid Broader Criticism of Rivals Karp's defense of Amodei came even as he called competing AI firms "wildly unlikable," accusing them of dodging questions on using clients' intellectual property to train models that later compete against those same clients.
The unconventional billionaire co-founder said the critique reflects enterprise customers' concerns, not his own opinion.
Amodei has previously issued his own warnings, writing in a January essay that AI could trigger an unprecedented labor market shock.
