Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday reiterated his demand that petrol pumps across the country offer consumers the choice between pure petrol and E20 ethanol-blended fuel, along with a cut in the price of E20 and a reduction in pure petrol rates.Kejriwal has consistently argued that the Centre should let people choose the fuel variant of their choice, be it E20, E10 or E0, at separate pricing for each. He has maintained that E20, which blends 20 per cent ethanol with petrol, should be priced lower than pure petrol, arguing that the reduced mileage and alleged wear on vehicle components that come with ethanol blending justify a lower price point.
