At Xpeng’s first-ever Australia Brand Day event, global Vice Chairman and President Brian Hongdi Gu announced that the company will have the new G6, X9, L03, G9L and L05 in local showrooms by the first quarter of 2027. The company has set the same timeline for the launch of these models in New Zealand, according to local sales manager Sean Tupp, who told Auto Trader New Zealand following the announcement.
Xpeng recently launched the new G6 and X9 in Australia and New Zealand. The new G6 starts at 51,800 Australian dollars (about 31,700 euros) and 59,990 New Zealand dollars (around 30,500 euros), respectively, while the base X9 costs 89,900 Australian dollars (about 55,000 euros) and 104,990 New Zealand dollars (around 53,500 euros), respectively.
The L03, originally introduced as the Mona L03 in China, is Xpeng’s new compact SUV that sits below the G6 and will be offered globally as both a BEV and an EREV. At Xpeng’s global Brand Day event on 16 July, Sven De Smet, Head of Brand & Marketing for Europe, said that the company plans to launch this model simultaneously in 65 markets. As in Europe, Xpeng has scheduled its launch in Australia and New Zealand for the fourth quarter of this year.
