The third flood warning remained in force at Bhadrachalam as the Godavari continued to flow above the 56 feet, nearly three feet above the third warning level of 53 feet, around noon on Saturday (August 1, 2026). The rising river level prompted the authorities to intensify vigil in low-lying and riverside areas of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Telangana.The Godavari crossed the third warning level at 12.15 a.m. on Saturday, following heavy inflows from the upper reaches. Officials stepped up monitoring in vulnerable areas and remained on alert to undertake relief and rescue operations if necessary.Traffic movement on the Bhadrachalam-Charla main road was disrupted after a stream overflowed onto the road at Turubaka, sources said.Residents of Sunnambatti and adjoining riverside habitations in Dummugudem mandal were shifted to a temporary relief camp as a precautionary measure.Officials from the Revenue, Police, Irrigation and other departments have been camping in Bhadrachalam and closely monitoring the flood situation.
