Super Falcons forward Uchenna Kanu
Super Falcons forward Uchenna Kanu says Zambia’s impressive record will not intimidate Nigeria as they prepare for their crucial 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Group C clash, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Nigeria suffered a 3-2 defeat to Malawi in their opening game and need a positive result against the Copper Queens to revive their campaign.
Zambia have been unbeaten in the WAFCON group stage since 2018, but Kanu insists the Falcons are focused on getting the points rather than dwelling on their opponents’ record.
“Every team is good, and I think it’s important that we take every game seriously. It doesn’t matter who we’re playing,” Kanu told reporters in Morocco.
