On Friday afternoon, the Metropolitan Museum announced its spring 2027 fashion exhibit — and upcoming Met Gala in May — will center on John Galliano. In the museum’s history, only two other living designers have been the singular focus for its blockbuster exhibit: Yves Saint Laurent in 1983 and Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons in 2017.
