The Vice Chancellor, Osun State University, Osogbo, Prof. Clement Adebooye, has told new students of the institution that sanctions will be strictly enforced for every violation of the institution’s regulations.
Adebooye made this known on the main campus of the university in Osogbo on Friday at the 2026/2027 matriculation ceremony for 493 new students admitted for part-time degree programmes of the institution.
Adebooye, in his admonition for the students said the university’s regulations are clear and urged them to uphold the values of honesty, discipline, responsibility and respect for constituted authority throughout their stay in the university.
“Permit me to emphasise that Osun State University maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of misconduct and anti-social behaviour. Cultism, examination malpractice, cybercrime, drug abuse, sexual harassment, violence, hooliganism, certificate fraud and every other act capable of undermining the integrity of this University have no place in our academic community.
“Our regulations are clear, and sanctions for violations are strictly enforced. I therefore urge you to uphold the values of honesty, discipline, responsibility and respect for constituted authority throughout your stay in the University,” Adebooye said.
