Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with U.S. Vice President JD Vance, during which the two sides discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense and agreed to continue coordination between their teams.
The Ukrainian President announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“Received a good phone call from the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance. We followed up on our recent meeting with President Trump in Washington, which was positive and productive,” Zelensky said.
He emphasized that Russian air strikes against Ukraine continue, and that air defense – specifically Patriot interceptors against ballistic missiles – remains a top priority.
The two officials also discussed the impact of Russia’s war on global markets.
