Lite-On Technology Corp (光寶科技) yesterday said it expects revenue to grow sequentially in the third and fourth quarters, driven by shipments of advanced power management solutions for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.Second-quarter revenue expanded 21.41 percent quarterly to NT$52.7 billion (US$1.63 billion), or annual growth of 30.38 percent.Net profit totaled NT$7.12 billion in the second quarter, up 88.5 percent quarterly and 126 percent annually. Earnings per share were NT$3.14, up from NT$1.66 in the previous quarter and from NT$1.39 a year earlier.

Sequential growth in revenue and profit last quarter was driven by a higher contribution from next-generation AI data center products, Lite-On president Anson Chiu (邱森彬) told an earnings conference in Taipei.The momentum is expected to continue this quarter and into the second half of the year, driven by accelerating shipments of next-generation AI power management systems, including 50V direct current integrated power racks and main power shelf products for servers used by major cloud service providers (CSPs), Chiu said.
