MANILA, Philippines – Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro Jr. pushed for reforms in the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) recruitment and personnel policies that will strengthen the nation’s defense capabilities.
Speaking during the roundtable discussion with Inquirer editors and reporters on Wednesday, July 29, Teodoro said the Philippines must continuously adapt its defense posture as security threats evolve, stressing that the country can never assume its preparations are sufficient.
