Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has launched an investigation into the uncontrolled detonation of ammunition at a military training ground in Khmelnytskyi on July 31, 2026, which injured four servicemen.
The SBI reported the incident, Ukrinform says.
According to preliminary information, the uncontrolled detonation of ammunition occurred at around 11:55.
Four injured servicemen were hospitalized. The severity of their injuries is currently being determined.
“Due to the ammunition detonation, investigators are currently unable to safely begin inspecting the scene. At the same time, SBI officers are already interviewing the command staff and personnel of the military unit and are carrying out other urgent investigative measures,” the agency said.
