Home services platform Urban Company on Friday reported a consolidated net loss of ₹92.12 crore for the June quarter compared to a consolidated net profit of ₹6.94 crore. Consolidated revenue from operations grew 43.9 per cent to ₹528.34 crore.“Q1 FY27 was one of the strongest quarters in Urban Company’s history. Growth accelerated across nearly every part of the business, while the profitability of our core operations reached a new high. At the same time, we continued to invest aggressively in InstaHelp, where unit economics improved despite rapid scale-up,” the company said in its letter to shareholders.“We remain focused on growth with improving economics and continue to target consolidated Adjusted EBITDA breakeven by Q3 FY28, with approximately ₹1,000 crore of Adjusted EBITDA by FY31,” it added.On a consolidated basis, Net Transaction Value grew 42 per cent y-o-y to ₹1,465 crore. The company said it acquired about 1.2 million new users during the quarter, crossing the one million mark in a single quarter for the first time.The company said its India consumer services business (excluding InstaHelp) saw revenue growth of 31 per cent to ₹356 crore. “InstaHelp continued to improve its unit economics while growing rapidly. Orders increased 43 per cent q-o-q, while Adjusted EBITDA loss per order improved by approximately ₹101,” it added.Noting that the international business is increasingly emerging as a second profit engine, the company added that the international business grew despite the conflict in West Asia. The international business, which includes operations in the UAE and Singapore, reported an 82 per cent surge in revenue to ₹65 crore.The company’s ‘Native’ brand, which includes water purifiers and smart locks, recorded a 60 per cent increase in revenue to ₹95 crore.Published on July 31, 2026
