Venture capital funding into Indian startups has dropped to its second lowest level on a weekly basis for the year till now, revealing the deep challenges that the ecosystem continues to face with respect to attracting funding.
The total funding for the last week of July was just $67 million across 14 deals.
In contrast, the previous week saw $162 million.
Also, this is the sixth time in the year till now that the funding raised on a weekly basis has been below $100 million.
The lowest level of VC funding into Indian startups on a weekly basis this year has been $66 million in May.
