DTC prescription platform Hims & Hers has allegedly been sharing patient data with Meta, Snap and advertisers and violating its own privacy policy, according to a lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on Wednesday.
The FTC accused Hims & Hers of placing trackers provided by Meta, Snap, X, Microsoft, Reddit and Pinterest that tracked users’ health information when ordering sexual wellness, mental health and weight loss drugs. The commission also accused Hims & Hers of purposefully making it difficult for users to cancel their prescription billings.
