July 31 (UPI) -- The San Francisco 49ers and free agent wide receiver Deebo Samuel agreed to a one-year, $7 million contract, he confirmed on social media.
The veteran playmaker, who spent last season with the Washington Commanders, is set to return to the franchise he initially joined as a second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Samuel, 30, totaled 72 catches for 727 yards and five scores over 16 appearances last season. He also totaled 75 yards and a score on 17 rushing attempts.
The 2021 All-Pro logged 5,935 yards from scrimmage and 42 scores off 536 touches through his first six seasons with the 49ers.
