The US Department of the Treasury has imposed new sanctions related to the Islamic Republic, targeting support networks enabling Iran’s Mahan Air.
According to the Treasury Department, a Chinese national and four entities based in China, India and Russia were designated for their cooperation with Mahan Air.
The Iranian firm DadeNegar Startup Studio was also added to the US sanctions list.
Additionally, the US Department of the Treasury updated identifying information for Cagri Duransoy, a Turkish national, formalising his recorded connection to Milad Jafari in the sanctions registry.
The US had previously designated Milad Jafari under sanctions over allegations that he exported specialised metals to Iran.
