Greenvolt Power has inaugurated the 200MW Turośń Kościelna Battery Energy Storage Facility in Poland, which energy trader Entrix will optimise.

The renewable energy independent power producer (IPP), part of the Portugal-headquartered Greenvolt Group, which was acquired by US investment firm KKR in 2024, announced the inauguration of the 4-hour (800MWh) project yesterday (30 July).

The lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery energy storage system (BESS) is in the administrative province of Podlaskie Voivodeship in northeastern Poland, around 200km from Warsaw.
