Mexico was ranked second and Thailand rounded out the top three.United Upgrades The Middle SeatUnited Airlines will block the middle seat in one row of its new Airbus A321XLR aircraft.United AirlinesNobody ever wants to book the middle seat—but would you be willing to pay a little more just to ensure that it stays empty? That’s the idea behind United’s new middle seat innovation. For long-range flights on its Airbus A321XLR aircraft, the airline will include one Economy Plus row where the middle seat remains permanently empty. In its place, United will place a fixed table with a leather-like surface and cup holders to span the gap, which can be shared by the window and aisle passengers. According to the annual Henley Passport Index, which tracks the number of destinations that can be visited visa-free or visa-on-demand, Singapore has the world’s most powerful passport—with visa-free access to 192 countries (out of 227).
