The Bank of Agriculture (BOA) has begun implementing a comprehensive digital transformation and structural reform strategy aimed at enhancing service delivery and expanding access to agricultural financing across Nigeria.

Ayodeji Sotinrin, managing director, BOA disclosed this during a meeting with Journalists in Abuja on Thursday.

According to Sotinrin, the institution which operates under a full-for-profit model with a primary focus on developmental impact has undergone reorganization, anchored on three core pillars: restructuring internal operations, recapitalizing the institution, and establishing modern digital infrastructure.

He explained that the bank’s overhauling has led to the deployment of core banking software, mobile banking channels, internet banking platforms, and custom digital transaction tools.

The institution has also introduced multi-functional Smart POS terminals capable of account opening, biometric verification through National Identification Number (NIN) integration, and processing input disbursements directly at local collection centers.
