House Of Reps Panel Says Gbajabiamila's Signatures On Nine Official Letters Were Genuine, 'Fake' DG Appointment Letter Was Forged

The committee's ongoing investigation is examining whether official government institutions acted on forged correspondence and whether public officials were misled by documents purportedly issued from the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President.

A member of the House of Representatives Committee investigating the alleged fake Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, has declared that the signature purportedly appointing Adeniyi Adeyemi as Director-General of the council was different from the authentic signatures used by President Bola Tinubu's Chief of Staff on nine other official communications.

Gagdi made the disclosure during a session of the House Committee attended by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, as lawmakers continued their investigation into the controversial agency and the circumstances surrounding its operations.

During the proceedings, Gagdi said the committee had carefully examined several official correspondences issued by the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President and found that the signatures on all of them matched, except for the letter purportedly appointing Adeniyi Adeyemi as Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council.
