The decision followed a meeting of presidents of Concacaf's 41-member associations, the confederation's president, council members and FIFA Council representatives, where the proposal was discussed.
The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) and its 41 member associations have rejected a proposal by FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, to create a "FIFA Forward Enterprise" and sell interests in the FIFA World Cup to private investors, citing concerns over transparency, governance and due process.
The decision followed a meeting of presidents of Concacaf's 41-member associations, the confederation's president, council members and FIFA Council representatives, where the proposal was discussed.
The confederation said members questioned both the need for private equity investment and the manner in which the proposal was introduced.
In a statement issued after the meeting, which was published on it's website on Thursday, Concacaf said its members were troubled by what they described as the lack of proper consultation, an unusually short deadline for consideration and the absence of review by FIFA's established governance bodies.
