The plan for the redevelopment of the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) was presented at the Thessaloniki City Council on Wednesday by TIF president Christos Tsentemeidis.

He revealed that the immediate start of the tender process would be announced on August 2, with the project expected to be completed by the end of 2030. He noted that the project – worth €204.6 million with VAT – would be funded by national resources.

Updating the 100-year-old premises, he said, would transform TIF into an open and modern bioclimatic exhibition and conference of 120,000 square meters. He called the project “the largest urban renewal project in northern Greece and one of the greatest urban renewal works of Greece.”
