The Rivers State Police Command has arrested a 50-year-old man simply identified as Godwin for allegedly defiling two minors in Ogale, Eleme Local Government Area of the state.
PUNCH Metro learnt on Thursday that the suspect was said to have been arrested on Monday by operatives of the Eleme Police Division at his residence following a formal complaint lodged by the parents of the girls, aged 13 and 11, respectively.
The father of the older minor, Cletus, whose other names were withheld, alleged that the suspect’s style of operation was to send the two children on an errand and later invite them into his room after they returned with the item he had asked them to buy.
According to him, “Then he (suspect) will lock the door, turn up the volume of his music and assault the children.”
