Inter Milan have completed the signing of John Stones following the defender’s departure from Manchester City.The Athletic reported on Monday that Inter were advancing in talks to sign the 32-year-old as a free agent, with a hope that a deal could be completed by the end of the week.Stones left City at the end of the 2025-26 season after 10 highly successful seasons at the club, in which he won six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, three Carabao Cups and the Champions League.Upon joining Inter, Stones said in an interview with his new club: “I feel a lot of emotions. An overwhelming feeling of happiness, pride and excitement. Ready to start this new chapter, this new journey, and what a place to do it.“Definitely (changing club after ten years is a big step). When this opportunity came, I spoke with my family and we didn’t hesitate to come here. We are excited to get to know another culture, the people, and it is nice that I have some friends here to do that with.”
