A huge wildfire raging near Sizewell in Suffolk has grown by around 210 football pitches in just a matter of hours, officials have said.
Fire crews have begun putting their engines in front of people's houses and spraying properties with water in order to protect them from the 'out-of-control blaze'.
Hundreds of holidaymakers have been evacuated as the wildfire moves south-east, although firefighters have insisted there is no current risk to a nearby nuclear power station.
In the latest update, the Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the area affected by the wildfire had grown to 150 hectares – the equivalent of approximately 210 football pitches.
Meanwhile, fire engines have been sent from London, and helicopters have been seen dropping seawater in a bid to subdue the blaze as more than 100 firefighters take on the inferno.
