NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte held a phone call with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk after a Russian missile landed on Polish territory on July 30.
According to Ukrinform, Rutte announced the conversation on X.
The two leaders discussed the violation of Polish airspace by a Russian missile. Rutte noted that during the attack, Poland and other NATO allies activated their air defense and ground-based defense assets.
"We stand in solidarity with Poland and will continue to strengthen our readiness to defend against any threat, including missile attacks," he wrote.
Rutte stressed that the Russian missile's impact in the Lublin Voivodeship was a direct consequence of Russia's war against Ukraine and another reckless act by Moscow.
