MIAMI GARDENS, Fla., July 30 (UPI) -- Not long ago, the Miami Dolphins were considered a high-priced track team morphed into one of the NFL's most-explosive offenses.
Flash and noise magnetized excitement sewn into the franchise's fabric. An off-season remodel, which resulted in the exodus of Tyreek Hill, Tua Tagovailoa and other Pro Bowlers, led to $179.2 million in dead salary cap money.
It also featured the hiring of defensive-minded first-year head coach Jeff Hafley and a deluge of draftees and players with one-year 'prove-it' deals in training camp,
But Hafley, who preaches focus on minute details, with an emphasis on team, isn't interested in a rebuild. Players with that mentality also aren't welcome at his first training camp as an NFL head coach.
