Imagine your desktop tower was like a natural history museum exhibit of a roaming lion about to leap on her prey. In that vein, Maingear’s new preconfigured “Zero” PCs do more than most to showcase those excessively powerful PC components and your favorite toys in their natural habitat (behind a thick piece of glass, of course). The Zero towers have two elements that help them stick out from the growing number of fishbowl PC towers like the iBuyPower Trace X. One is the micro-ATX motherboard that helps the PC pack into a smaller space. The other is the special display stands that come with every Zero launch edition. Maingear will supply you a basic stand to prop up your favorite figurine or action figure. There’s also a special 3D-printed Lego stand to show off your favorite brick-based creations. © Maingear © Maingear The curved, 4mm-thick glass is supposed to show off all your components from each side. Maingear’s director of product marketing, Brent Fisher, tells Gizmodo that the company tried to make it as easy as possible to remove both glass panels with the help of two handy pull tabs. Those who opt for the “launch edition” Zero PC (with limited availability until they run out) can get the desktop with a curved OLED AIO cooler screen.
